2010 Emirates Classic Car Show
The city was in jovial mood over the weekend as United Arab Emirates celebrated its 39th National Day. Concerts, raffle draws, exhibits, horse racing, freebies (of shirts, hats, etc), were taking place simultaneously across the country. But perhaps the second most awesome event (I will share the first one later on) we witnessed was the 2010 Emirates Classic Car Show.
This will be our third to attend such so I was not looking forward. I mean just how many classic cars are left after three extravagant shows? But my ever petrol-head husband insisted so we visited the show (after all it’s free) on evening of the last day.
Oh they were jaw-dropping! I saw a bat mobile, a vintage Bugatti, a 1960s Lambhorghini, and for the first time, I saw a Jensen. I will be sharing all of them later but for now, let’s make your Monday, cheery and sunny by sharing all the vintage yellow cars included on the show =
Note: we were following two western tourists who seemed very knowledgeable with vintage cars. As they moved one from one car to another, discussing the price, interior, and exclaiming my friend owns one like that, they finally shook heads in amazement and exclaimed: You will never find these cars in anywhere else in the world!
Chevrolet
1930 Rolls Royce
I will be sharing more photos on the suceeding posts so watch out this space =)
