Lunch At The Farm Al Barari

The menu is presented on an IPad. ((^_^))

Dubai’s newest restaurant is located in one of the most exclusive community called Al Barari.  Though this is our first time to enter the gated residential area, it was relatively easy to find as one will not miss the sign along Emirates Road.

The Farm was officially launched last month offering fresh produce from their very own property. It advocates organic ingredients and also offers the current food trend gluten free products.

From Al Barari entrance, you will drive about 1 km through thick greenery on both sides of the road. It’s like driving on the road of a remote Philippine province with lush tropics. I read About Al Barari a few years back but did not expected such vast greenery to thrive in Dubai. The photo above also shows the entrance to The Farm. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and we arrived around 4pm for a very late lunch.

The fresh, clean interior.  I love the white canvas and wood combination. You will also see the fresh produce and the restaurant bakery above.

We chose to dine alfresco and while waiting for our food to be served, we checked out the zen garden. I share with you some of the features I found most interesting.

Hammock chairs to chill

More seats to dine al fresco

By now, Little C was very, very hungry.

After 30 minutes of waiting, we were served with fresh warm bread and butter.

Hubby’s had rib eye steak served with roasted baby carrots and sweet onion.

I had chicken tenders and roast sweet potatoes

Little C had creamy alfredo spaghetti

Because he behaved himself waiting, he was rewarded with a sweet treat, a gluten free chocolate lava cake topped with home-made vanilla ice cream. Gluten is a protein found in wheat and sometimes used as food additive in the form of flavoring and thickening agent.

I didn’t find anything exemplary about the food but if organic and fresh produce is your thing then The Farm is a must try. Both Hubby and I grew up in rural areas so dining with the the birds chirping around and you hear water trickling, we felt like nearer to home. The Farm also provides a must needed breather in this super city. I totally love the concept.

Thank you dear Hubby for the treat. My turn as soon as you get  free weekend. Happy 6th wedding anniversary and thank you too for such an awesome night!!!
